Here is what was written across the wall in front of my parking space this past Sunday:
"Love yourself, because nobody else will!"
Irony or mockery? You make the call! lol!
In all seriousness, that is so true! Sometimes you are the only one that can have your back, so to speak. I'm totally down for sharing thoughts and ideas with family and friends, but then again, there are somethings that you just can't help but supress because you don't know what the reactions will be from "outside parties." Although this causes you to experience a myriad of emotions (i.e. anger, frustration, sadness, joy, elation, etc.), it does make you a bit stronger and more confident in the end. I mean, it helps you to identify your flaws and successes a bit easier. I'm also finding that you do have to take the time to really appreciate what you have and who is around you, because if you don't, what are you gonna do when it's gone? All this insight finally realized, is this a result of the near mid-life crisis? Dayum, can't believe I'm almost 25! lol! :)
