Good Lawd!!! Happy New Years!!! So far, things are still the same, but what should I expect 2 days into it I guess... heehee. I really need to start writing cuz my brain activity is dwindling... geez, give me the strength to create! I had an idea for a fictional story the other day, so I better take notes and put some effort behind it before it either completely disappears or becomes watered down from my over-compensation for info I can't remember (I hate that!). Well, here are a few things that has happened to me recently:
The performance last Friday was off da hook! FA straight represented! Not to toot our own horns, but dayum it feels good when you get a really loud crowd response. Thank you audience!!! Sometimes you need a boost of confidence, and that crowd helped out much more than they knew. 12/27 happened to be the anniversary of my grandmothers passing, so of course I was pretty melancholy (actually I still sorta am.... grrr dis sux!), but dancing and hanging around some cool azz peoples helped out a lot. Ironically, today is the anniversary of my grandmother’s funeral, so yet again my bummed out attitude still lingers. Goodness, I try to think about all the joyous times we had together to not be so sad, but sometimes it can only go so far. It doesn't feel as raw as it did when it first happened, but still persists. I mean, imagine this: loosing one of the most important people in your lives two days after Christmas, attending a funeral two days after New Years, four days before your b-day. (Man, I intended for this to be a light-hearted blog, but how did I get here? I guess you have to go with the flow.). Goodness, I really digressed. Thanks FA crew for keeping my abs hurting (from laughing and dancing), and keeping an ever-present smile on my face.
Yesterday a friend of mine that I haven't seen in 5 years showed up on my doorstep... literally! Dayum, what a surprise! Goodness, he still looks the same. He joined Air Force in 1996/1997 and moved to Wyoming (Are there even any other Black people or any other people of color there? Just wondering.). Why are those kind of encounters kinda of awkward tho? I was like, "So, how's Wyoming?" "What's it like?" Wow, such lame questions, but what do ya say? In any event, it was wonderful to see him tho!
Goodness, T.K. holla at the homies before ya bounce! In all seriousness, hope to catch you on the rebound. I do wish you luck on everything you do, as great people deserve great things and then some! Thanks for continuing to be my ear/e-mail homie when I dealin' with stuff. And makin' me laugh with each and every e-mail. Catch ya on the rebound Sushi-O-Rhymes (like Busta, except he's Asian) -- He said that, I didn't! Honest!!! :)
Been watching those dating shows lately, but I can't help it. Sometimes, I'm like that stuff cannot be true. Nobody acts like that. But then again, when you give freaky/narsty people the chance to be on t.v., you're gonna get some off da hook behavior. Oh well, I used to be a Jerry Springer nut as well (that's when the fights were good!).
Oh well, I've blabbed enough. Goodness, 5 years shy from the big 3-0. Ay yi yi!!!
