"Survivor's Guilt"
I went to Safeway earlier and it appears that the strike has reached parts of the Bay. As I was going inside I could hear a guy on a megaphone saying "If you have a conscious, don't shop Safeway." I have a conscious, at least I think, but what other alternative do I have? I live in Oakland. I'm broke and my family needs to eat. What am I going to do? It sucks when alternatives are no longer an option. When choice is not available to you. Deep down, I feel for the strikers, as they are fighting for a cause with very deep meaning and purpose. I can understand how when the balances are tipped in an opposite direction how it not only affects one but many. But what can you do in a situation like this? It's hard to comprehend, as answers can be so uncertain at times.
