Full moon...

Typical Kat... I have a quite a few assignments due this week in class. But instead of focusing, what do I do? Watch "Jumped the Shark" episodes of "Who's the Boss", hope that folks pop up on AIM and Yahoo! for a chat, and blog. I'm happy to have such discipline.
Ahhhhh, this week has gone by so fast. I didn't realize how long it has been since I wrote last. So many things to jot down, so I hope I don't miss anything.

High school High revisited:
In class last Monday, our teacher drew the "What the feezy" picture to diagram a example of gerrymandering that happened in Marin. As he was drawing it, it just became too hard to hold a straight face. For one, I had worked all day long, now I'm sitting in class for three hours, so any form of laughter had my interest. And point two, the others were in consensus with me... the diagram ended up looking like a frickin' uterus! What the hell?!?! There are two things that I hope: that the teach didn't mean to draw the diagram like that, and that the real gerrymandering design didn't look that way. Either way, gave me a good laugh.

On Thursday, I took one of my dogs for a walk around my neighborhood. TK was right, this place is Mr. Rogers' neighborhood! Dayum. At first, Zeda was all hyper because it has been ages since we ventured around the 'hood, but after a while she calmed down. She's still hella strong though... she actually had me running a few times... haha. I need to take her for a walk more often. I should practice at being a better mommie.

Speaking of mommie-dom, a co-worker was talking about the changes that women go through during pregnancy. She mentioned that your feet swell up to twice their size , and how her sister had to give away just about all of her shoes because she couldn't wear them anymore. Dayum! She also mentioned that women often lose teeth because the baby is absorbing a lot of the calcium from the mom. Double Dayum! Hrmmmm... note to self... invest in ear plugs to tone down all that clock ticking.

Yay! My cuzzo Melanie is back!!! She is gonna start dancing with the crew and I'm getting hella motivated again. This past Saturday we spent a few hours coming up with some steps for a routine. That was dope. Afterwards, we went to Berk where Tash treated us to lunch. It was nice to get away from stuff for change and laugh for a bit. Thanks ladies, I needed that.

Next, we went to Zebra where "I made" Melanie get her navel pierced. I got a new tummy ring in the process also. We both showed my mom our new accessories, and her response: I don't know why y'all wanna poke holes in yourselves. Hrmmmm... I wonder how I will react when my kids do something like this? Scary thoughts.

I miss walking around Cal in the Fall. I'll write more on UCB memories later.

OK, I've rambled enough. I just successfully spent over half an hour coming up with this stuff. I so could have devoted this to my assignments. *Sigh* Well, I guess this was just my special way of clearing my head. Or just an easy way to postpone the inevitable. I think more so of the latter.
