In the meantime, a homework assignment that is due for our Training and Educational Process class tomorrow calls for the top 10 influences on our growth as intellectuals. Here's my list (in no particular order):

- A Different Mirror by Ronald Takaki (and I had the fortune of taking his class at UCB!!)
- Mississippi Burning (1988)
- Contemporary Black America
- A Raisin' in the Sun (1959)
- Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder
- Reading Rainbow with LaVar Burton (1983-2004)
- Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
- The Color Purple (1985)
- Eyes on the Prize

This assignment was hard to do... there are definitely some honorable mentions that I can't add. I know the range is kinda funny, but I'll have explanations soon =)
