Man, this week has been a lot to handle. I'm realizing more and more that one of my major pet peeves is being in environments filled with negativity and/or negative people. Man, life cannot be so bad that you have to bitch and moan about it every little second. Do me this tiny favor, if you don't like how things are, just simply leave! Case in point, as you all know I really don't like the environment of my Stat class. It absolutely SUCKS!!! People complain all morning because they can't see the overhead, they can't hear what the teacher said, they didn't hear the question, etc. Well, if you all stopped blitzing her and let her hear each question one at a time, there wouldn't be that problem, would it? I don't get it. In terms of classroom manners and whatnot, there are just things that you are taught to do and not do. Such as raise your hand if you have a question; have respect for the teacher and other classmates; if you have a personal question, wait and ask after class; etc. Sadly, I don't think many folks got the memo. Which is quite sad indeed. I mean, I'm doing the best that I can already to try to grasp the information and develop more confidence in my math skills, but it doesn't help when the environment is so disruptive. I must admit that I have taken some pretty bad classes in my time, but I must say that by far, this is the worst. Not because the teacher is being difficult, or that the work is so overwhelming, but just the whole environment makes it terrible. There are roughly 10 people out of the 60 in the class that have not given the teacher a difficult time. They sit quitely, take their notes, and wait until after class to ask a question. Why can't the other 50 do that? And I know that there are a teacher or two that we gripe about, but yelling demands at them and calling them a drunk to get a few cheap chuckles cross the line big time. Damn, have some respect! You begin to question the morals of some people I tell you. Has this society deteriorated so badly over time, that we no longer know right from wrong? Such sad days ahead if this is true.
Kat's Soap Opera
Welcome to yet another episode of my life! I know that saying my life is a soap opera is so cliche, but I can't help it if it is. Everyone has a little drama in their life, so why not share it with the world so that we can commiserate, and laugh together.
