Ever listen to a song that just absolutely touched your soul, and you just can't help but listen to it over and over again?
Down to each and every chord the guitarist strikes
Every drum beat that the drummer plays
Every soulful inflection in the singer's voice
The feeling that it gives you congregates in the pit of your stomach and travels through each and every part of your body
Touching your heart, your soul, your mind
As song in which you are able to visualize each and every last lyric because they so remind you of yourself, people you know, people you love, people that love you, people that caused you pain and sadness, those that you cause pain and sadness
Causing you to remember what love feels like
What life felt like
What happiness tasted like
What pain smelled like
What anger looked like
It feels as if that singer is singing that song for you
As if he or she sat down to write, and as they put pen to paper, they could see your face, remember your past, feel your present, and glance at your future all at the same time
They know your loneliness and the sadness connected to it
When the only friend that it seems like you have or had in the world is you, or is no longer here, even though you are surrounded by so many that love you
Ever have that loneliness before?
The only way that it seems that it can be washed away of comforted for me is through music
Deep and meaningful music

(I highly recommend that you listen to Sting's "It's Probably Me" so that you can see what I mean).

Sting - At The Movies - It's Probably Me lyrics:
If the night turned cold
And the stars looked down
And you hug yourself
On the cold, cold ground
You wake the morning
In a stranger's coat
No one would you see

You ask yourself, 'Who'd watch for me?'
My only friend, who could it be?
It's hard to say it
I hate to say it
But it's probably me

When your belly's empty
And the hunger's so real
And you're too proud to beg
And too dumb to steal
You search the city
For your only friend
No one would you see
You ask yourself, 'Who'd watch for me?'
A solitary voice to speak out and set me free
I hate to say it
I hate to say it
But it's probably me

You're not the easiest person I ever got to know
And it's hard for us both to let our feelings show
Some would say
I should let you go your way
You'll only make me cry
But if there's one guy, just one guy
Who'd lay down his life for you and die
It's hard to say it
I hate to say it
But it's probably me

When the world's gone crazy, and it makes no sense
And there's only one voice that comes to your defense
And the jury's out
And your eyes search the room
One friendly face is all you need to see
And if there's one guy, just one guy
Who'd lay down his life for you and die

I hate to say it
I hate to say it
But it's probably me

I hate to say it
I hate to say
But it's probably me
I hate to say it
I hate to say
But it's probably me
I hate to say it
I hate to say
But it's probably me
