Cleanin’ out my closet…
For the past week, I have been trying to organize my pimptress palace as best as I can. In the process of diving into mounds and mounds of paper, cassette tapes (damn, those existed?!), and other random crap, I was shocked to stumble across a once coveted possession. This item being a math book that three other dorky nerds and I modeled for. Yes, KattyGirlD has her sexy on the cover of a puzzles and brainteaser book. The funny thing is that I was the oldest foolio in the whole group. How sucky was that? A big ass 11th grader with a pack of 9th graders… peeshaw! All day long, we were in that hot ass studio taking photo after photo, having our make up touched up over and over again, having to smile on cue, feigning expressions of wonderment, excitement, confusion and elation as were having what I guess was supposed to be a geek puzzle party. Yeah, and you thought YOU were cool in high school. Rolling down embarrassing moment memory lane had me thinking: How many of these moments happened in youthful days? How often are we willing to share these instances with other folks? It’s funny how on those talk shows, they always have those “look at me now” shows with someone saying “When I was in high school, I was a total geek. I had braces, messed clothes. It was awful!” What they fail to forget is EVERYONE was messed up in high school! If you look back at those photos now, how many of those guys had high top fades, gheri curls, or blonde highlights and thought they were the shit? Or the girls with the bi-level haircuts, blonde and red streaks, and nose rings and thought they were Miss Sexy. Anyway that you look at it, fads messed us all up… from the ones that couldn’t meet the expectations of what was cool and hot, to the ones that were able too. Regardless of which side of the fence you were on, we all looked like fools. But not me. Just take a look at the limited time photo to your left. Who wouldn’t be yearning to do some math olympics after taken a look at such hotness?
