Song of the moment:

Musiq Soulchild -- Love

Musiq Lyrics

Love Lyrics

[Verse 1:]
Love
So many things I've got to tell you
But I'm afraid I don't know how
Cause there's a possibility
You'll look at me differently
Love
Ever since the first moment I spoke your name
From then on I knew that by you being in my life
Things were destined to change cause......

[Hook:]
Love
So many people use your name in vain
Love
Those who faith in you sometimes go astray
Love
Through all the ups and downs the joy and hurt
Love
For better or worse I still will choose you first

[Verse 2:]
Many days I've longed for you
Wanting you
Hoping for the chance to get to know you
Longing for your kiss
For your kiss, for your touch, for your essence (your beautiful essence)
Many nights I've cried from the things you do
Felt like I could die from the thought of losing you
I know that you're real
With no doubt or no fears
Or no questions

[Hook:]
At first you didn't mean that much to me
But now I know that you're all I need
The world looks so brand new to me
Now that I found love
Everyday I live for you
And everything that I do I do it for you
What I say is how I feel so believe it's true
You got to know I'm true, love

Blog it before you forget it!

Things I saw and experienced this week:

- As I was waiting to kick it with Maria in her office at the SLC, I decided to wait at a table with a student that was getting a quick snooze in before being off to the next final. Eventually she woke up and was apologetic for snoozin and having her stuff all over the place, but it was no worries, as I could totally understand. She was telling me how she was so looking forward to the semester ending, and I told her I could relate. "What year are you?" she asked me. I was flattered, especially as the years are beginning to creep by more and more.. 26 in January, man oh man! I said that I had already graduated, but I knew the feeling. I could kinda feel that for her, as well as myself, talking to someone was good at that time, even if you don't know them. Just the fact that you are genuine interested means so much. Good luck to you Mylene in all of your endeavors, and thanks for sharing the table.

- I saw a hit and run accident on Thursday. Man, some folks must not really care anymore. A woman hit a pedestrian and without even bothering to see if he was alive, let alone ok, she peeled of. So sickening. Some people, I tell you. I hope that the gentleman is ok.. especially around the holidays. How sad.

- Santa was in Starbucks. Dude, I was good all year, where's my Christmas coffee?!?! I kid you not... he was posted up in the full gear... boots, beard, red suit and all. Only thing is that he traded in Rudolph and the rest for a hot little drop top silver Nissan Z. Holllaa! Santa is a playa! Ohh, does Mrs. Claus know? I better keep that on the down low then... unless I get what I want for Christmas! Ahhhh, sweet blackmail, gotta love it... muhahahaha. ;)

- Speaking of which, TK, you are off the hook! Thanks for making me smile... I got bootleg copies of him getting buckwild in the cafe if ya wanna see. I got the hook up, holler if ya hear me! Just teasin' boi, I gots nuthin but maddd luv for u. :)

- In Starbucks this morning (I know, I'm a fiend), and saw a father and his young daughter with another gentleman in line ahead of me. They must have just come from church, or were at least heading that direction. They looked so happy and like they generally cared for one another. They just seemed to be balanced and happy. I just got this feeling of how it was for me, when I would go to church with my grandma and sister. That closeness. I miss that a whole lot.

- A good cry and good laugh cleanses the soul. Thanks Ingrid for sharing both with me today. Thanks for the love Sahru, Norma, Mylene, Catie, Lisa, and Erly... hugs work wonders! :)
