Boob tube...

Tonight, I finally caught a full episode of American Idol with my fam. Ohhh myyy Godddd!!! I just cannot believe some of those folks. Couldn't sing themselves out of a wet paper bag, but they'll do any and everything to get dissed on national TV. Amazing. How did all these stations get plagued by the reality TV bug though? For a bit, it was cool, but now... eh, not very much on the reality side anymore.
What happened to good old TV? The Punky Brewsters? The Diff'rent Strokes? The Reading Rainbows? Hell, what about those cool infomercials! Who could forget Tom Vu and his fantastic quotes:
"A lot of your friends will tell you, 'Don't come to the seminar. It's a get-rich-quick plan.' Well, tell them, It is a get-rich-quick plan because life is too short to get rich slow." Indeed it is my friend, indeed it is.
Or the Juiceman and his thick-ass eyebrows pushing a $200 machine so that you can grind up parsley?!?! And last but not least is Tony Little pushing those fitness deals while rockin' the super tight boom-boom shorts. Who could pass all that up? Ok, I'm stretching a bit... but that stuff was entertaining none the less.
Thank goodness for late night Nick at Nite and TV Land I suppose. When those stupid bouts of insomnia arise, it's comforting to know that I have some quality reruns to keep me company. I wonder what reruns will consist of 10 years from now? Episodes of the Simple Life? So sad I say, soooo sad.

Upside/Downside...

For this past week:

Upside: Seeing my cousin and his wife -- I see them like once a year =)
Downside: They were only here for a four days =(

Upside: I got to take some pictures with some hot model guys -- woohoo!!
Downside: ALL I have are the pictures with the hot model guys -- I'll some day win over this stupid speech problem... poo I say... pooooo!

Upside: Been dancing all week and developing my passion.
Downside: Dancing eats up all my energy -- I'm lucky I'm awake past 11:30pm -- dayum, I'm an old lady.

Upside: Saw hot boy in class. =)
Downside: I think he's hooked -- dammit!

Upside: Babysitting!
Downside: Babysitting!!

Upside: Eating lots of good food with family and friends... ahhh, food coma!
Downside: Burning all of that good food off... yay.

Upside: My homie John got me some Happy Bunny shot glasses and a book on living in happiness.
Downside: There's NO downside when you have homies like that -- major props =)

Current mood: Two shots of happy, one shot of sad -- JB, those glasses are gonna come in handy. =)
