This and that...

- I miss Fridays at work :(
Spoke to Dinh again this week. Man I miss the old school crew. Luis, Tina, Ana, Lan, and Nab. Work and play was an awesome combo.

- My thoughts and prayers are with Tina, Laimeng, and their crew right now.

- Went to a cafe in the Mission. Place was off the hook! People there were nice, but the environment... eh... let me say this, the bathroom looked like the Pop-Copy one on Dave Chappelle... "Down right poopie." The ultimate was when a brotha in a leather coat (aka a roach) zipped across the table! Narsty I tell ya!

- On my way to the gym, saw a guy on the corner that looked like Hulk Hogan. "I am a Real American" theme song all of a sudden popped into my head. That made me laugh for the day.

- Dayum, such a small world. While I was Berk studying, I ran into "Kodaman." Turns out, he was there to meet his language partner, which I ironically knew from my past work at UCB.

- On our way to class on Monday, Banagan and I saw a guy that I guess was trying to look like Crocket from "Miami Vice." Had the linen suit and ice cream colored goin' on. I really, really, really hope that he was going to an early Halloween party.

- Took my braids down yesterday, and I looked like Ilana Wexler for a cool little minute.

- Got my braids put back in today. I'll probably be able to blink tomorrow.

- Got an e-mail from one of my former Bridgees. Dayum, they're all grown up. Dayum, I'm getting hella old.

- Got and e-mail from my BSP homie Jason. He's in med school and getting married next year. Congrats!!!

Hit or Miss...

Eating has gotten a bit easier since the arrival of the traintracks, but I still have issues. So much food get's caught in between my back teeth, it's gross! Ugh! Today I had some vegetarian chicken from Tai San (good stuff), which I was actually happy about because I could finally chew something without grimacing in pain. Only problem, I think the wires may have shifted a little and they are beginning to slightly poke out. Great. From time to time, the brackets can be very abrasive and scratch my lips. Woohoo. And in a few weeks I have to go back in to get them tightened even more. Beaming with excitement. Gah! I never noticed how many kids have braces until I got mine, which makes me feel even more ancient. Banagan always tries to bust on me now about my appliances. This fool called me Jaws from James Bond's "Moonraker." Dorkus. Well, when you can't laugh at yourself, what else is there to do?

She's Crafty...

Today I did some home improvement and I am damn proud of myself =)

Went to Tar-shay (Target for the commoners) and bought hella home supplies. Trying to jazz up my little place, so I figured I'd start with the bathroom. I hooked it up! I installed three racks (one for a towel, bathroom stuff, and toilet paper). I even broke out the drill too... ooooh! One thing though, had a few pieces left over. Hmmm, is that good or bad?

Hooked up some mashed potatoes tonight too. Ok, ok, instant mashed potatoes, but so what! Them shit's were good. Still can't chew very well, so they did just fine. Eventually, I can hook up something without making myself sick.

While I was in the store, I saw hella kids. Some cute ones too. *sigh* Someday I'll have a mini-van and spend the weekends at the park or the store. Just as long as they behave, that is. It'll be fun someday I guess.
